Client: Polly Texas Pioneer Association is a non-profit 501.c.3 organization dedicated to preserving Tejano heritage and legacy of Polly, Texas.
Brief: This historic preservation non-profit needed a user-friendly, engaging website that could be used to promote their efforts, drive traffic to a venue rental page for the historic Polly’s Chapel, and provide history on Polly, Texas and the surrounding area.
Three key requirements for this new site were:
- Responsive website
- Enables supporters to make online contributions and purchase event tickets and sponsorships
- Be built in a way that enabled board members or staff to easily add to or edit the website.
Solution: The Association asked for the site to be built using Squarespace, which is an easy to use content management system and website builder. We built the site to their requirements and used some custom written code to customize the site. We also provided ideas on how to display history and large amounts of text, as well as how to use imagery and layout to engage users. The site’s content was made to be search engine friendly. An SEO plan was also implemented after the initial site was launched. Future updates include an expanded history section and online venue booking.
We’ve received over $2,000.00 in online contributions and sponsorships since launching the new site and have more venue rentals than ever.
